It started as a one dude from the burg surfing the expression session,only luke parr, then everyone heard bout it and the next thing you know a full on crew of mbu are pumped to go surf strand and show what beens brewing out the backline.please call me's were sent(recession killing us),surf employee and other bosses were lied to and facebook wallposts were left to the babalas dude to read the sunday morning before the compo.
big jol saturday night,got dooma in the jol,rumor of crazy monday photo shoot told to us(thats another story though) wake up sunday and the boards are packed and ous are picked up and we off to strand,get to the circle on baiden powell just as they are closing the road,we the last car they let through,great success!

get to strand,waves immediately look smashable,head down to the beach, say our hellos and surf,josh starts with a crazy air reverse, i start with a crazy over the falls looking for a barrel move,stupid but waves are fun and more mbu guys paddle out, crowd is thick but mbu used to snaking for waves.
expression session starts, waves go flat but some guys are picking off small ones, there's reverses and airs everywhere you look,mbu eyes are burning with the need for waves, chris bond gets dangerous with his backside airs,salie looking to land his air reverse but just cant ride them out,eventually he does one and makes the heat however.me on the other hand,well like they say 'karguard'.

the semi is good,alotta claims were made on "did you see my air reverse" when indeed it was just a reverse,i wont mention the name.

guys are pushing each other hard, jacob mellish ripping,chris bond boosting everywhere, 2 on 1 wave!!!salie more consistent now, tries one crazy backside air reverse but over rotates,looked insane though!!!
hint to salie, next time use a leash in the final buddy,you probably woulda won.
justin stevens kicks into rhythm in the final after his epic free surf down the beach, sick combos is his speciality and does them well!!!
the day ends with dave richards winning,well done dave!!!
boys head back to burg but to puptires to surf,home sleep wake up for sunday8pm movie,dos
new week,new waves.
