Hi everyone....I trust you all had a good and safe Easter weekend.

Heres another Blog ramble...........

I am about to end a 2700nm passage from Brazil to St Thomas in the Caribbean. Last surf I had was in the northern beaches of a city called Salvador in Bahia(Brazil). Its been 14 days and I am now itching to get in the water but the swell charts for this part of the world are looking dismal for the foreseeable future. I am optimistic as I know that the North Swell season is still open albeit the latter part.

I have a small window as I am leaving the boat I work on and have a few days to kill before heading home......... I am holding thumbs and checking surfline.com and windguru.com for updates for some swell activity which could see missions to either Tortola in B.V.I's or the North West Coast of Puerto Rico.

Other than that just looking forward to have a few cold ones on shore!

Cheers

Jerome

Back to Blog Ramble

Okay folks I have been back a few days now, and its great to come home and catch up with family and friends and enjoy the atmosphere and amazing scenery of the Cape. Also great to get back in the water and catch some waves and have fun and take in the scenes of the Cape Town area. I am due to drive up to the Wilderness area and visit friends there and catch some waves around the region.

Cheers till next ramble

Arrived in Cape Town yesterday morning after a mega string of flights from the Carib, when I arrived in Sao Paulo I decided to skip my portion of trip there and come straight home and spend extra time here with family and get some waves. Looking forward to the upcoming weeks here and will be travelling around surfing as much as possible.

Just got back from my mission to Tortola and had some really fun waves at Apple Bay..... nothing epic, but real fun in nice blue tropical waters. It is the most EXPENSIVE place I have encountered in all my travels and it is not for the budget surf trippers out there. It is nearly time to head home to S.A.....I will be spending a week back down in Brazil in the Rio and Sao Paulo state beach area catching waves and doing a few tourist activities....Ill check in again sometime soon.

Yes random, Cane Garden Bay and Apple Bay...2 great spots on Tortola. Charts are showing a 2 day north swell pulse on Sunday and Monday...still not sure where I am going to head, it will be a last minute decision. I do not think the swell is going to be big enough to get Cane Garden proper cooking..,but will keep eyes peeled and options open.
