Haha nice, thanks for all the advice!!!
Bru I use Windowleen (spelling?) That blue spray bottle you use to clean windows. You can get it at any grocery store. It is ammonia based, so cleans, absorbs and then evaporates. I spray a little on a clean cloth, then wipe my camera and lenses down, and then using another clean cloth rub any excess off. Great for salt and other oily dirt. Good luck
Ah thanks AVG... I'll be more mindful of moisture next time... Thanks also for the advice on heat, all new knowledge for me, wasn't sure how it effected the housing... Much appreciated!!! What would you recommend for cleaning the housing? I've been using alchohol swabs?
Ok cool Dustin. Ya those drying agents help a little, but not entirely. I would suggest cleaning the inside of the housing and/or the camera, and making sure there is no moisture inside your camera for any reason, especially if it is old. Any water inside will heat up in the warmer waters of Durban and fog up inside. Also be sure if it is a housing, that you do not have any wet fingers or hands when you set it up on the beach. Lastly, keep the camera in the shade on the car ride to the beach and definitely while on the beach. Take it straight from the shade to the water. That should help unless you have water inside your camera itself.
Good luck
Hi AVG, I've had condensation problems in the past also.
I've been using those drying agents you get in shoe boxes to help with the problem.
Hadn't used camera in a while, so perhaps need a new one? Also noticed the camera battles a bit in bad light and it was an early session? Thanks for the help...
Hi Dustin, great photographs, but it looks like you had some condensation problems. Was there something on your lens while you shot this session? Or did the inside fog up? Hope I can help for future sessions. Keep it up

You are responsible for the photos and videos you submit to Shot Bru. If you didn’t take the shot yourself, or make the video, get permission from the owner first. If you’ve got your eyes on a Shot Bru prize or a spot in the pages of the main mag, please upload to Shot Bru before sending your photos on Facebook and other surfing websites cyber rounds. Fresh photos get priority for prizes and print. Finally, by loading image(s) onto Shot Bru you are granting Zigzag permission to feature your image(s) in the magazine, on the website and across our social media platforms free of charge.
Waveski, SUP, etc shots regularly get deleted due to a technical glitch. This glitch does not seem to affect surfing shots, which shotbru.co.za was designed for. We are having our developer look into the problem.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are posting a pic of a secret / semi-secret spot or a sensitive location, DO NOT say where it is. Shot Bru is for sharing photos and stoke. Not for exposing secret spots. The administrator reserves the right to change the description or nuke the shot if you don’t comply.
If you are going to upload photos of secret or very sensitive surf spots. Be vague about the location, or better yet flat out lie. We're okay with either.
