Hope this is the right place to post this.
My son is pretty used to people not from his home break taking all the waves, he puts up with it to a point, then either surfs around, or drops in and surfs circles around them.
The other day at J-Bay testing a board at point, he paddled out into the lineup, there was a clean break, He caught some awesome waves - compared to his home break - Buffs - Knysna, no work involved.
I went out with him to make sure all ok, then went back to the beach to film. But waited and waited.
He was being blocked from catching. And even got pushed off a wave - see pic and given words. By surfers who were not even good. He's only 9
What turned out from a great surf tuned into a terrible surf, and he left the water disillusioned. But stronger for it.
We have had great experiences like guys offering him to surf the wave with them at Vic Bay during the 2nd part of superstorm, some big waves rolling in at Vic Bay.
